World Hockey Festival 2011 - Edinburgh, Scotland

17 - 24 July 2011

The historical city of Edinburgh will host the 2011 Air New Zealand Golden Oldies World Hockey Festival in July 2011.

Edinburgh has one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world, making it the ideal city to enjoy a week of Fun Friendship and Fraternity at a Golden Oldies World Hockey Festival. The City of Edinburgh is well qualified to host a Golden Oldies Hockey Festival having hosted a very successful Golden Oldies Rugby Festival in 2008. They say that if a Festival is worth celebrating then you find it in Edinburgh.

The people of Edinburgh are known for their welcoming hospitality, and if you tell them that you are in Edinburgh for the Golden Oldies Hockey you can be assured of an even warmer welcome. There is an abundance of top class restaurants and bars, not to mention fabulous shopping so bring the family as Edinburgh has plenty for everyone.

The University of Edinburgh's Hockey facilities at Peffermill is where the Hockey will be played. Located only 4km from the city centre, Peffermill has benefited recently from a £3.5m refurbishment to incorporate the National Hockey Academy, this magnificent 2.7 hectare site offers a hugely impressive array of training and competition facilities and is the perfect location to stage a Golden oldies Hockey Festival.
