WGMA Terms of Membership
WGMA has been formed :
1. to assist the FIH in the promotion of hockey in age-categories of 60 and over,
2. to ensure Tournament Rules of competition, fair play and safety within the age divisions, and
3. to provide a structure within which hockey matters relating to the above age-categories can be discussed and changes made as and when deemed appropriate.
Membership of WGMA is available to all hockey-playing nations. Each nation is entitled to a Delegate within WGMA once they have started to participate in WGMA events and a number of Observers at formal WGMA meetings. Each Delegate (but not Observers) is entitled to vote at a WGMA meeting on the issues arising.
The WGMA Constitution and the Rules governing tournaments conducted by the Association are available to all Member Nations.
Member Nations may enter as many teams in a tournament as the Tournament Organisers prescribe - however, only one team within each given age-category can be entered in tournaments involving Nations.
Annual Subscriptions to WGMA have been set at 100 euros per Nation, plus 50 euros per team registered, for each calendar year (agreed at WGMA Assembly meeting in Hong Kong on 15th September 2008) . Within any calendar year, a Nation or registered team can play in as many tournaments as desired without incurring any additional subscription.
Any Nation/ Group interested in becoming a member can obtain a Membership Form from the Treasurer.
